An adventurous excursion to the First peak

No matter how interesting the conference themes are – at some point, everyone needs a break. Treat yourself and your participants to a trip that will make you marvel and put a broad smile on your face.
The aerial gondola brings you from the “Tuftli”, as the locals affectionately call Grindelwald, up to 2200 metres above sea level. The views of the Wetterhorn, the Upper Grindelwald Glacier, the Schreckhorn, Eiger, Männlichen and the valley below are simply stunning.

Dial the thrill up a notch on the “First Cliff Walk”. This trail lead you around the First peak and across a 40-metre suspension bridge. And finally, you will reach a lookout platform that protrudes over the perpendicular cliff face. A sheet of specially reinforced acrylic glass ensures dizzying views of the Alpine landscape, right into the depths.
Then it’s time to buckle up and descend on the “First Flyer”. It takes just 45 exhilarating seconds to swoosh from the First mountain station down to the Schreckfeld middle station on this 800-metre-long zip-line. Four people at a time can descend the 200 metres at speeds of up to 84 kph. What an adrenaline rush for your participants!

From Schreckfeld, the adventure continues in specially designed “mountain carts” and in winter on sledges. The 3-kilometre-long route to Bort leads over unsurfaced roads and through forests. At Bort, a tasty aperitif with regional delicacies awaits. Travel the last leg back down to Grindelwald on scooter bikes or catch the aerial gondola.
