World Snow Festival – Grindelwald

The 40th World Snow Festival will take place from 13 to 18 January 2025.

The World Snow Festival has a long tradition in Grindelwald.

Every year in January, international teams meet for the event. From high, high-pressure, snow-blown blocks, amazing art works are created during a week. Visitors and guests can look over the shoulder at the artists’ work. At the end of the week, a jury, as well as the audience, selects the winner of the teams. The snow sculptures embellish not only the village center, but you will also be able to admire various snowmaking artifacts in the whole ski area. A school class from the village may also edit one of the snow blocks at the World Snow Festival in Grindelwald.
